Media Center
Welcome
Our library operates on a flexible/fixed schedule. When classroom schedules allow, students from any class may use the library resources and check out books. Kindergarten and first grade students visit the library on a fixed schedule for story time and participate in literacy activities. Other grade levels are scheduled throughout the year by their teacher to practice research and technology skills related to the curriculum.

Mrs. Traci Cagle
Hello and welcome! This is my 5th year as the Dewey L. Carter Media Specialist/Librarian. I recieved my Masters in Library & Information Science from USC in May of 2020. Prior to moving into the library, I was a classroom teacher for many years. This is my 19th year at DLC. I grew up in Florence and reside here with my husband and 2 wonderful children. I enjoy helping others with books, research, and technology. In my spare time you can find me spending time with my family, crafting and of course reading!
It is my goal as a library media specialist to promote a love of reading in various genres and formats, provide diverse library programming including storytimes, author visits, and reading programs, and strengthen students’ research and information literacy skills. I love to see the smile and excitement of a child being excited about reading and gaining knowledge.
